Job Description:

Responsible for the collection, entry, maintenance and reporting of Trauma data for this Level 3 Center as required by appropriate regulatory agencies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Collects and timely enters required data into the trauma registry
* Assigns and scores all injuries utilizing the AIS and ICD 10 scoring system
* Completes and verifies accuracy for all data collected
* Ensures compliance with National Trauma Data Bank, Trauma Quality Improvement Program, and Kansas Trauma Registry Standards
* Mandatory registry specific training and other continuing education requirements
* Participates in educational outreach programs
* Performs primary step in the process improvement reviews, documents appropriately, and communicates with the Trauma Coordinator MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: * Proficient at computer/keyboarding skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
* Demonstrated organization and problem solving skills
* Excellent analytical skills
* Must be able to read CT scans, lab values, etc. to be able to properly assess & code injuries. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: * 1 year Registry experience REQUIRED BEHAVIORAL SKILLS: * Integrity:

* Proven ability to think strategically but also must be able to lead day-to-day tactical processes. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * Graduate of an approved RN program
* American Trauma Society's Trauma Registrar Course within 12 months of being hired
