Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for their Labor and Delivery unit on a long-term assignment. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The role also includes potential float duties to the postpartum unit, NICU, or the house as needed. Unit Description: Labor and Delivery Unit: 15 labor rooms, 5 triage beds, and 3 operating rooms (ORs) High-volume labor and delivery unit Cerner and Fetalink used for patient monitoring and charting Hospital-laundered green surgical scrubs provided May float to Postpartum , NICU , or the House as needed based on staffing requirements Responsibilities: Provide skilled care to patients during labor, delivery, and recovery, ensuring safety and comfort. Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal health during labor using Fetalink. Assist in delivering babies through vaginal birth or Cesarean section (C-section) procedures. Provide pain management options and support, including epidurals, medications, and emotional support. Provide education and emotional guidance to expectant mothers and their families throughout the labor and delivery process. Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, providing necessary life-saving interventions. Float to Postpartum , NICU , or the House as required. Document patient care and outcomes accurately in Cerner system. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest level of care.
