Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Wichita, KS Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,876 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Seasonal Travel RN Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Candidates must possess BLS and ACLS certifications. - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This position is for a Seasonal Travel RN in Telemetry. The unit has 37 beds and is staffed by 12 team members. During the day shift, there are 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians, and 1 Unit Clerk. The night shift consists of 8 RNs and 3 Patient Care Technicians. Patient ratios are typically 1:6, with a ratio of 1:4 for Heart Catheterization patients. These ratios are estimated and not guaranteed. The unit utilizes equipment such as PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Preferred candidates are those who are independent and possess strong critical thinking skills. The unit performs procedures including central line placements, medication drips, Heart Catheter recovery, and bubble studies. A positive attitude and engagement are essential personality traits for candidates. The unit may incorporate new equipment and technology to enhance patient care.
