Start Date: ASAP About the Position RN – Medical/Surgical
(Cardiovascular Unit) Location: Wichita, KS 67214 Shift: 07:00 AM –
07:30 PM (Day Shift) Job Description: We are seeking an experienced
Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Unit
at a leading teaching hospital in Wichita, KS. This is a 38-bed
unit specializing in med/surg cardiovascular care with telemetry
monitoring. Requirements Responsibilities: Provide direct patient
care in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based
standards. Manage patients with cardiovascular conditions in a
telemetry-monitored environment. Start IVs (IV team available for
assistance). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure
optimal patient outcomes. Utilize Cerner OneChart for all
charting/documentation. Participate in floating between three
affiliated hospitals and one rehab hospital as needed. Work every
other weekend as part of rotation. Certifications Required: BLS
(Basic Life Support) NIH Stroke Certification MOAB (Management of
Aggressive Behavior – Moderate Risk) System Requirements: Cerner
OneChart (EMR) Must pass Ascension onboarding, exams & skills
checklists.
