problem solve. Description: This position is for a travel CT Tech.
The unit typically serves adult patients. The environment includes
a 64-bed hospital with an adult ICU and an emergency department.
The imaging department is staffed on weekends with a limited number
of technologists. The CT shifts on weekends are 7 AM to 7 PM and
require coverage. The majority of CT patients are adult emergency
department patients, with some pediatric scans possible. Adult
inpatients are scanned as ordered. The estimated ratios are not
guaranteed. The type of equipment used includes a Siemens Somatom
Plus 128-slice CT. The electronic medical record system is Meditech
and PACS is FUJI Synapse. The ideal candidate should be proficient
with Siemens scanner experience. 2-3 years of experience in CT is
preferred. The candidate must be able to provide backup for X-ray
if the X-ray tech is in the OR. Typical procedures performed
include CT head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, CTA chest,
neck, abdomen, and occasional CTA cardiac studies. Candidates
should be able to perform CT lumbar/thoracic spine studies and CT
head stroke protocols. The best personality fit is someone who
works well in a busy or slow department based on patient load.
Collaboration with other departments is important. Dependability
and promptness are essential. The department promotes a
family-friendly atmosphere and is easy to navigate. Resources
including a guideline book are provided to assist with quick
