Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Unit Information: (PICU/645) Location: Wesley Children’s Hospital Address: 550 N Hillside Wichita, KS 67030 Floor:1T Building:4 General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Level II Trauma - Number of Beds -15 - Number of Staff –38 - Type of staff: - Day Shift –Intensivist, RN, Desk Tech, RT, Dietary, Case Management - Night Shift - Intensivist, RN, Desk Tech, RT - Patient Ratios –2:1 - Type of equipment – General CR Monitoring, CRRT, TPT placements, - EMR -Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - Works well under pressure - Great Assessment Skills Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. - CRRT Experience - APHON List typical procedures performed on unit(s): - IV starts, blood draws - TPT placement Best personality Fit: - Attention to Detail; Docs are willing to train on new skills - Works well with a teaching hospital Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. - Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. *Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent.
