Overview: Under the direction of a physician, the Computed Tomography Technologist is committed to applying the art and skill of diagnostic CT imaging through safe and effective usage of all equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient contact, the preparation and administration of oral or IV contrast materials, use of ionizing radiation, patient imaging procedures including computer processing and image enhancements, quality control and radiation safety. Participates in department and hospital LEAN improvement activities that align with the five True North Pillars. In addition, supports the CMH Service Excellence Program through demonstrated knowledge of CMH Shared Values, Mission and Vision, and Strategic Plan. Responsibilities: - Performs all CT procedures per department protocol. Must be completely competent with general diagnostic exams, as well as all computed tomography diagnostic equipment. - Performs essential RIS/HIS functions. Performs and maintains LEAN practices as it relates to Patient Safety and Quality. - Assists radiologist in all appropriate procedures.
