Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/15/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Cardiovascular unit night shift position requiring a KS or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a 38-bed medical/surgical cardiovascular unit within a hospital setting - Patient care focuses on cardiovascular medical/surgical cases with telemetry and remote monitoring - RNs are responsible for starting IVs, with IV team support available as needed - No drip titrations, EKG performance, or sheath discontinuation required - Uses Cerner OneChart EMR system - Night shift schedule is 19:00-07:30 - Every other weekend work required - May float between three hospitals and one rehabilitation hospital - Ceil Blue scrubs are required - Position is in a teaching hospital environment - Lab personnel collect blood specimens - Team includes an IV team for additional support - First time travelers are welcome to apply - Holiday coverage may be required as part of the unit schedule - Local candidates are accepted at a reduced pay rate due to a radius rule that varies by state - COVID vaccination is not required /n /n Requirements/n - Active KS or compact RN license - Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg experience - Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start - Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start - Group A or B-F NIH Stroke Scale certification (as applicable) - MOAB Moderate Risk (de-escalation) training recommended - Must provide a U.S. Social Security Number and a U.S. home address - Copy of Driver’s License required - Separate submission of two references required /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-673429.
