Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Salina, KS Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,128 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/1/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Required Certifications: BLS required, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Meditech experience required, travel experience required, first-time travelers not accepted Description: Start date is June 1st only. Meditech experience is a requirement, no exceptions. Travel experience is required, no exceptions. Contract length is 13 weeks. Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM. Every other weekend is required. A valid license is required at the time of submission. BLS certification is required. NIHSS certification is preferred. Floating may occur only when needed to other medical-surgical units or to the emergency department/intensive care unit to care for floor patients. Telemetry skills include on-unit monitoring and remote monitoring. Experience with gastrointestinal, genitourinary/renal, and IV therapy/phlebotomy is necessary. Medication management skills include administering Heparin, Insulin, and PCA. Neurological experience is important, including CVA and substance withdrawal cases. Familiarity with plastics and wound care, including surgical drains, is required. Respiratory skills should include chest tube management and CPAP/BiPAP. Isolation precautions and wound care experience are necessary. The dress code for the unit is navy blue scrubs. Prior employees will not be considered. The unit has a capacity of 38 beds. Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, alcohol withdrawal, oncology issues, renal disease, stroke, COPD, and heart failure. Interdisciplinary support includes various teams and services.
