Job Description:
HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Nurse Extern for our
Intermediate Medical Unit (IMU) who is passionate about supporting
our mission to care for and improve human life. This role offers a
unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic
healthcare environment, assisting our nursing staff in delivering
exceptional patient care. Assist registered nurses in patient care
duties in the IMU. Monitor patient vital signs and report
abnormalities. Prepare and administer medications under
supervision. Maintain patient records and ensure documentation
accuracy. Support a safe and clean environment by complying with
procedures, rules, and regulations. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced
environment. Basic knowledge of healthcare procedures and
regulations. Proficiency in using medical software and patient
management systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification required. Active enrollment status in a
state-approved nursing program must be maintained.
