Perks at work (discount program with several companies) Job Summary: This position supports the operations team at Kansas Protein Foods (KPF) by monitoring and reporting product quality and food safety parameters.
This position reports to the quality manager at KPF.Essential Job Functions: Has been formally trained by an experienced staff member to perform analyses independentlySupports operations cleaning activities including cleaning weekly cleaning activities.Knowledge of product matrices and intended use if applicableKnowledge of process control limitsKnowledge of product specificationsIs able to perform wet chemistry analysisIs able to initialize, start instruments and prepare samples as needed for the equipment analysisIs able to perform lab verification tasks per designated schedule/frequencyIs able to perform process verification tasks per designated schedule/frequencyIs able to utilize the Total Lab Client software and enter data for corresponding analysisHas read the applicable SDS and understands the safety hazards present for the analyses performedIs responsible to follow lab master sanitation schedule and maintain cleanliness of the laboratoryIs responsible to provide sanitation in the plant in specified areasIs responsible to dispose of lab waste to designated areasKnowledge of the actions taken towards deviations and out of specification productsIs responsible to communicate OOS products to QA Manager and/or production staffNotify the QA Manager or designee of any lab supplies & chemicals needsDemonstrates compliance to corporate quality, safety, and integrity policiesDemonstrates compliance to ADM records retention policy of lab recordsFollows good documentation practices and good laboratory practicesJob Qualifications:Prior lab experience recommended, but not required.Good attendance record.Ability to make decisions based on information and data available.Ability to work as a team member.
